Biographical Sketch
Jessica is a Research Area Specialist on a longitudinal study measuring adolescent substance use and the development of impulse control.
Prior to working at the NRLC, Jessica was an undergraduate research assistant in the Motivation and Cognition Interface lab at Texas A&M University. While there, she assisted with various forms of data collection, including measures of eye-blink rate and of stress. She also conducted research on the intersection of stress and trait anxiety on decision-making—specifically how anxious individuals, when under stress, were more aversive to uncertainty. She hopes to obtain her PhD in clinical psychology in the future.
