Yuri Galvão

Biographical Sketch

Yuri worked as an Associate Student at the Neurobehavioral Research Laboratory and Clinic project Impulsivity

and Biological Markers for Suicidality and Drug Use in Adolescents (R01-MH077684). He is working with the NRLC as part of

a 6-month long research rotation funded by the Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq)

Brazil's Scientific Mobility Program (formerly known as Brazil Science without Borders). The focus of this research training was on the integration of cognitive-behavioral, clinical, and biological sciences. Specifically, this work involves longitudinal assessment of suicidality, impulse control, and serotonin function interpreted within the context of psychiatric state and developmental stage.

Prior to his work with the NRLC, Yuri has been training as a research associate with Dr. Leandro Malloy-Diniz in  the
Neuropsychological Investigations Laboratory of the Science and Technology National Institute of Molecular Medicine (Brazil). There his work has focused on Neuropsychology Applied to Psychiatry with an emphasis on Bipolar Disorder. He has interest in basic Neuroscience and its interface with Clinical Neuropsychology.
